gas fire won't stay alight

Have Valor 'living flame' gas fire that will not stay alight.Ignites fine but won't stay alight no matter how long you hold the switch down.Gave it a 'good hoovering' (ooh-err) as best i could but no change.If anyone can offer advice i'd much appreciate itThanks

Have it serviced by a Corgi.
Your gas valve or thermocouple may need attention.
Not a DIY job. :D

By the way I used to have a Valor Dream living fire. Had more heat off a candle. :LOL:
 
You will have either a dirty pilot on fire stopping the pilot burning properly(little air hole 1/2 " below pilot flame blocks with lint) . If the pilot is burning properly and heating the tip of thermocouple correctly and you have a valor with a slide control there is a good chance the off microswitch needs relacing.

What is the model etc how long has it been installed do you have laminate flooring were the fire is installed ?
