Gas pipework: is it affected by frost?

Simple question: can gas pipework be adversely affected by frost? Presumably the fact that nowadays they put meters outside indicates not, but if air temperatures are particularly low, might it have an effect?
 
yes gives you marginally cheaper gas but no it wont damage the pipe or joints
 
Unless your expecting temps of -183deg C this winter I wouldn't worry about it.
