gas powered fridge for camper

Does anyone have a breif explanation of how these work?
My Brother has just bought one for his van, and he wanted me to look it over, Him thinking that because i do gas work, so he thought id be able to fix these also. I dont av a clue.
Its a Electolux small Fridge , frezer that can operate on electric and also gas.

When a gas fridge stops working, the way to fix them is to tun it upside down a few times and give it a shake then turn it back up the right way leave it for a short while and relight the pilot.
