Gas shut off valve

Evening everyone.

Fun day changing a radiator today. I have an indirect unvented system with condenser boiler.
I drained down the system and switched the boiler off. I also turned off the gas valve underneath my boiler. From too much back and forth, I can't remember if the attached pictures show it as open or closed. Can someone help please.

Depends on whether the valve's running horizontally or vertically, the slot's invariably in line for on and at right angles for off.
Try lighting the boiler, if it doesn't run and locks out then it's off, turn it through 90Deg, reset and retry.
 
Looks like the slots in line so gas should be on. See image
