Hi, I,m fitting a pair of wooden gates to the top of my drive between two brick pillars. I'm going to attach wooden posts to each of these but was wondering if it was necessary to dig out the drive to bed them in or weather they'd be ok just bolted to the pillars. Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks.
