I'm hanging some gates at the trip of my drive between 2 brick pillars which are 1 1/2 brick. And was wondering if anyone new whether or not I need to dig out post holes or whether I can just bolt them straight to the pillars. One of the gates is around 6'x3' the other about 6x6. Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks.
