hi
Is it ok to use gate valves on the flow and return that feed my kitchen rads
I'm in the process of fitting a new kitchen and I need to cap the pipes off but I will not fit the new rad for some time due to other works I am planning and by this time the kitchen will be finished so I don't want to just have then capped and do a quick live connection later in my new kitchen so was planning to fit two of the red wheel gate valves to the pipes so I can continue the pipe work at my leisure.
They will be in a good position to be boxed in after.
Thanks in advance

Ps. It's a combination boiler if that makes a difference ?.

Yes, but full bore lever valves are better an no more expensive than DECENT gate valves.

Do not use the slotted screwdriver ones. They're shyte.
