Hi, we have a 10 yr old Geberit concealed cistern in our upstair toilet. Had a problem couple of years ago when it overflowed onto the toilet floor as the cut off valve failed to operate. Had the valve replaced. However now had another flood same place but unable to ascertain where from.
Am positive its the cistern as when accessed I found beneath cistern wet and water splashes either side of the enclosure.
Floor very wet and water escaped onto ceiling and hall floor also flood caused electrical power to cut out.
Cannot understand as there is an overflow pipe. However few days earlier noticed increase in water pressure to downstairs sink and also had plumber change kitchen tap meaning stopcock was turned off and on.
Never witnessed the leak but had both supply pipe and connector to cistern joints tightened.
Leak then recurred during the night. Since then have turned water-pressure right down and so far 1 week later no repeat. Any ideas folks? PS one of the securing screws holding the cistern to the wall has failed meaning cistern is slightly listing one-side. After flushing refill cuts off as expected and no overflow into toilet.
