I have recently been advised that one of the elements needs replacing in the nightsto 100. One of the contacts in the control panel is not live and I'm not getting enough heat build up in the unit from the economy 7 supply hence the unit is not capable of maintaining the radiators or immersion.
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement element (I have an electrician who says he can do the work)?
Is it worth replacing the element or would I be better looking for a different (new) boiler?

The Nightstor boiler is very good system if you do not have gas. One element in mine went 5 yrs ago - after about 17 yrs. I fitted the replacements myself as I work in the field of high energy engineering. I was very strongly advised to replace both elements as they deteriorate over the years by the element "evaporating" and getting thinner so that resitance increases until temperature is so high that it burns out. The other element will also have got thinner over the years and will probably be likely to fail shortly.

Good news is that I do not really think your problem is a faulty element as the voltage would be present even iff the element was O/C.

Maybe he was trying to measure the E7 supply which is only on in the early hours?
Hopefully he has fixed it by now
