My project is to convert a room in an outbuilding into a gym. I want to lay a carpet to give the room a nicer feel, and to make it more pleasant for lying on the floor to do exercises.
So, we've chosen a carpet and I was ready to order but then I saw it's a gel back and doesn't require underlay. This would make for a very hard floor directly on top of concrete.
So, can I go ahead and lay the gel backed carpet using underlay and gripper rods, or do I have to go and choose a different kind of carpet?
