As part of out level 3 this year we have been given a topic to discuss with the class and make a 15minute presentation in relation to this topic. I have been given the following :-
" The implications on heating controls with the recent update of Building Regulations Part L Conservation of Fuel and Energy".
I have done a fair amount of background information in relation to what i want to do but some advice would be appreciated or if you think i am going way off track please say.
1. Define what Part L means, its introduction and impact on Heating Controls.
2. Explain what controls are covered i.e Thermostatic Rad valves, programmers, 2port vales, 3port valves, room stat, cylinder stat, frost stat, define what boiler interlock system of controls means.
3. The various systems and how these controls operate to make them more energy efficient.
4. Condensing Boilers, how they are more energy efficient than combi's,SEBUK ratings what it means.
5. How your energy rating for your systems has an impact on your SAP rating and how this influences your HIP score etc.
Does this sound ok to you experianced guys out there? what i really could use if anyone has links too is some good diagrams of a S plan system, y plan system and a diagram showing a gravity feed system plz.
Many thanx Paul.
