geotextile used with flexible adhesive

Has anyone heard of a geotextile being used in conjunction with flexi adhesive to strengthen the base for floor tiling?

I have laid down 4mm ply on a floor that is close to but not 100% rigid so was told that this was an option instead of pulling up the ply and replacing with thicker ply.

Can anyone tell me if this is suitable and does provide a solution?... my fault i didnt lay down some stronger ply but want to know the options before i pull it up..
