Have a wooden house. Exterior walls are made of sheet fibro, hardboard? with beading covering the joints. Is there any way to fill these joints? Horizontal can be covered by a fancy dado but I want to get rid of the verticle joints. Queensland is very sunny so there is expansion to worry about. I thought of using boatbuilding techniques. Sand a "hollow" and then glassfibre tape with epoxy. Any thoughts?

Fibro is asbestos cement. If there were a way of eradicating the joints it would have been done decades ago. When I lived in Sydney the only way was to brick veneer it.
