GJD have a superb range of equipment and have done for many years.We have used this manufacturer for over 25/30 years and had hardly any problems with them.

Thanks for reply. I'm after a system that will beep on inside and out when someone is on the drive. Also as the drive is only 10m long can I stop false alarms from people walking on the pavement? Plus one led flood .

GJD all the way ...1x opal XL or mini 1x controller , plus whatever light ...

No but it can be done using an elite head and sounder if required

Or use the aux output to trigger a sounder ....50ma max

pulse count is the number of times that beams are broken to cause a alarm condition

should i get an gjd mini or opal xl. My drive is only small. GJD Elite? Im a bit confused by all these.

It's down to what you want the system to do ?
If you want a notification buzz inside when someone is on the drive then the opal head is fine.
If you want a sound generated outside then elite head.This depends on wiring for the sounder.
Noise outside could disturb the neighbours.

So just to confirm does the elite head beep from the unit? I want intruders to know they are being monitored on the drive.

None of the heads sound out side when the pir is triggered. The control keypad had a bleep button mode. If this mode is turned on a low pitch sound is generated when the opal head is triggered. This works during daylight and at night ,turns light on at night.
If you require a sound out side then you will have to wire a buzzer into the elite head,this my require diodes and relay ,dependant on size of buzzer max 50 mA.
