Anyone else watched James May program on the model glider? Amazing :D

Just watching my recording of it now.

How typical of the Frogs to refuse to allow it. They've never really forgiven us for Agincourt.

fascinating program, love to be involved with that sort of stuff.it wouldve gone on for longer then the 22 miles aswell

Yep, but I think the idea was for it to land on solid ground. Imagine how far it could have flown if Felix Baumgartner had released it half way up on his skydiving attempt the other month.

Watched it yesterday and was glued to the screen but to be honest it would of been more of an achievement if it was launched by hand off an hill or cliff or even some sort of launch mechanism like the full sized ones are. Dropping it from 10,000 feet took the edge off it slightly for me, don't get me wrong it was still a feat but not as hard as it should of been, i mean if like JJ says it was dropped out of Felixs' ballon then i'd full expect it to get halfway round the world.

Still just my opinion like, was a very good programme, i quiet liked to auto pilot with GPS and the fact they could program it to land where they liked, never mind the fact that it was programed to circle until it lost all its altitude and then it would land rather than just getting to its coordinates and taking a nose dive, it even landed next to the air strip, now that was impressive

just think if it could actually be programed to use the thermals and as said launched from ground level.

Missed it! Which chanell was it on please and will "catch up on demand"
