Hello everybody.

I have an Integra metal expandable curtain rail fitted on one of my windows.

Unfortunately, quite a number of the plastic gliders, which basically carry the weight of the curtains, have come out of the channel, due to friction wear.

Can anyone tell me if I must take down the rail to fit new gliders. It seems like a horrendous job.

I would be most grateful for any advice.

Regards,

Jimmy

In answer to my own question, yes one does have to take down the rail to feed new gliders into the channel.

The task is messy but not quite as bad as I had envisaged.

There is a stop mechanism, controlled by a lever, at the end of the channel to prevent the gliders coming out. To feed in new gliders you use the lever to remove the stop. Having fed in the new gliders, you use the lever to replace the stop mechanism.

Jimmy
