Gloss paint

After the thread regarding wall papering in the cold, I was wondering if it's OK to apply gloss paint to skirtings etc when the temperature is low. We currently have no heating in the house (long story but being fixed now) and I want to do some painting but not if problems are likely to occur.

Any thoughts?

The worst that can happen is the paint will lose its sheen and 'bloom' (develope white patches)

Do the painting in the morning and it should be ok.
