Glow worm Fuelsaver 25-30: intermittent operation problems

It will be the head that needs replacing.

A job you could do yourself once you have safely isolated all the electrics to the ch system.

Er...ok. Lol! Now I'm going to sound thick...

Sorry, I'm pretty handy at DIY but sometimes don't know the technical terms for the bits and bobs. Which bit is 'the head'? Not the pump head?

The silver metal box, or plastic box on top of the brass body of the valve.

Most can be replaced, but a few older ones cannot, you have to change the entire valve for these.

What make is it?

Oops. That one needs the entire valve replacing  Nearest equivalent is the Honeywell mid pos valve.

Bugger. There's sod's law for you. How dear (roughly) are these if I go down to the plumber's merchants then (or B&Q if that's cheaper)? I suppose the old one can't be repaired?

BTW thanks for all your help. Isn't t'internet brilliant?! :D
