Hello all.

We've inherited a Glow Worm 38cxi in our new house and it has a wireless thermostat, but no programmer. I didn't even know you could buy a boiler without a programmer, it seems like such a basic requirement. I've found the part number for the programmer is A20087 and a picture of one of these on eBay for £80 makes it look like fitting would be pretty straight-forward.

I don't have any plumbing experience, but I can happily strip down a laptop to component parts, so I'm reasonably proficient when it comes to electronics. Anyone done this before?

Many thanks,

Nick

The manual for the boiler doesn't seem to mention a wireless programmer & thermostat. It just says this for programmers:

1.7 Optional Programmer Kit
An optional programmer for fitting in the boiler is available,
Pt. no. A20087 electromechanical or A20087 digital.

Any ideas on where I might get one pablo?

Thanks,

Nick

Thanks again pablo. I looked at our current unit and it's a Siemens. Screwfix have a programmable version of our thermostat which uses the same RF receiver for £60, so I'm just going to try one of those.
