Help, my old glow-worm space-saver38 gas-valve has packed in (a Mclaren valve , G.C part No 392767). I've been told that they are now obsolete and no longer made.  However I noticed on a previous message a couple of years ago that there is a Honeywell valve , that with a little modification can be used as a replacement. Does anyone know what the Honeywell part is and part number ? (I know ,very naughty but I'm getting desperate as I'm freezing to death here and frostbite has already started nibbling away my toes).

I would double check re the MacClaren valve i'm sure you can still get them, The valve will either be 24v (orange wires) or 240v .
the honeywell valve is the grey push button V400? ? you will need to modify the pilot tube and replace thermocoupling. Its getting time for a new boiler.
