I have a 30 ci Glowworm combi boiler. I had it fitted 3 years ago and I have always thought it was noisy. When the heating is on which is a lot at the moment you can hear what I believe is the pump from everywhere in the house.
I have been told by two engineers who work for homeserve that they are just noisy boilers, but glowworm say that the system was not flushed properly before installation and the pump has been damaged through debris and the boilers are no noisier than any other.
If I new fitting a new pump would sort the problem for sure I would pay to have it repaired. Has anyone got one of these boilers or has any engineers any knowledge on the subject? please help as it is annoying.

Assuming it was a dirty system that caused the first pump to be noisey, then you would need the system flushed before fitting a new one.

Are you sure it is the pump? Why?

I think Glow worms are more noisey than others personally.

cheers dave,
pretty sure its the pump as when system reaches temp and boiler shuts off the only thing i believe is still running is the pump, it also is not noisy on hot water eg when filling bath

The pump runs during a demand for hot water.
