I was visiting a friend in bonny Scotland over easter and they were having trouble with their oil fired floor standing glow worm combi. Basically the heating runs fine until their is a hot water draw off, shortly after the boilers overheat trips out and you can hear the water bubbling and it takes a good few minutes for the automatic air vent to stop hissing. 2 local plumbers have been to it and replaced the expansion vessel and something else my friend "couldnt pronounce/remember. Any help would be greatly appreciated as its been over a week without hot water for them. Many thanks
