Difficult to describe this and learning about heating/water. My standard if old gravity fed water/heating, glowworm hideaway controlled by a drayton tempus 7 now switches on by the time clock but after a few seconds (upto 40) turns off, then instantly turns on again and continues until the clock switches off. This happens with both water and heating and on continuous. I have been learning as I go and found out the pump is not coming on. The pump works I have directly connected it to power and it runs smooth. I'm stuck now as to what controls what and particularly where this 2 way valve fits in. Any help much appreciated.

The orange wire from the 2 way valve sends power to the pump whilst the boiler is fired by the power from the time clock hot water side, hence the reason you cannot have heating only with a basic gravity system.
