First of all hello, I've had a read through other topics and I wondered if someone would be able to offer some advice.

This morning I got up to find the pressure on the boiler was off the gauge and some water had been dripping from inside - the blow off pipe outside had froze. Having cleared the pipe by pouring boiling water onto it it cleared and some water did drain out (the icicle dangiling from it shot out like a bullet), the pressure began to settle. The pressure now reads 0.7 bar (as I understand I should) when I turn on the central heating to heat the radiators water drips from the base of the boiler.... constant - so I've shut everything off and it stops.

Has anyone any ideas or suggestions? I'm more than happy to try and resolve this myself but unsure where to look first.

thanks

Its probably worth me mentioning that the hot water and rads seemed to work fine - bar this constant dripping from the boiler itself

Little more information... having done a quick inspection with the unit powered off it would seem the dripping is coming from the Thermistor Central Heating on the Hot water out pipe. Its a compact 75P. Any suggestions? :?

Thanks

so your boiler pressure reads low now (is dropping). you saif it read high this morning (off the gauge)??

Well its reads 0.7bar at the moment so hasnt dropped since it settled this morning, though its still slowly dripping from what seem to be the hot water out pipe.

Ok it might actually be coming from the hot water pipe itself, on the nut...... I tied some tissue around the pipe above the thermister and has its damp.....what that means I dont know...just needs a tightening? I cant really get at it with an adjustable and ideas?

Being told its my Pressure Vessel, assume the plumber means my Expansion Vessel - does that sound right?

Anyone knwo the part number?
