I wish to glue and pin a steam bent hardwood edging strip to serpentine shaped outdoor decking. Given current temperatures and dampness, and obviously the wet wood, can anyone suggest a suitable adhesive?

try a polyuerathane adhesive such as fastgrab or gorilla glue. They recommend that one surface is damp for use so it may work for you

Yes, PU adhesive (polyurathane) is made for that sort of outdoor work, but it dose foam and can make a bit of a mess, so it may need to be cut back and sanded

It also ceases to work as the temperature approaches freezing, so don't glue up at the end of the day, nor first thing on a frosty morning
