I am currently attempting to decorate a very run down tenement flat. My main problem is that thelast owners had a fondess of painting over things, such as the beautiful old tiles in the kitchen. Is there someting that would easily remove tile paint? They have also coated a perfectly decent bath in some rubbery white stuff which is flaking off. Could this also be removed? Hope somebody out there can help me. Thanks in advance. Caitrin.

try a hot air gun first, gently scraping the paint off as not to scratch the tiles.
this is a much cheaper alterative to all the paint strippers you can buy, some of which are useless.
same with the bath, whatever they put on the bath hasn,t taken properly and will have to be stripped.
