extractor fan failed, BG engineer no good. (contract, unable to fix as unable to isolate) I'll do it myself.
 
BG are hot on safe isolation. If they can't isolate it in the correct manner, they can refuse to work on it.

However, disconnecting the cables from the outgoing fuse/ MCB terminal is considered acceptable, if you can't for whatever reason lock-off.
 
didn't even bother looking for the CU !! honestly, he couldnt wait to get out of the place, it's not that horrible, in fact it's quite a nice place.

Was it a cooker hood?

AFAICT, they're not covered.

Rented accommodation live there 4 days a month. Enough said. Hey but finding fuse wire was Interesting and 1st time in over 20 years I've rewired a fuse!! All good fun allegedly.

Oh yeah see whats being said about the over a month thing, it stopped working over a month ago, didnt think too much about it until it went bang and took all the lights out!
