Not really that odd if you think about it.
Israel has stated there will never be a Palestinian state, that aim can never be achieved as long as there is a Palestinian people.
No Palestinian people =no Palestinian state, so who is, trying to eradicate whom.

Israeli settlers abuse, assault and kill Palestinians on a daily basis. How long would you put up with that?

It isn't important in the least although some take it very serious and think that it is.
