But I have a feeling that no charges will arise from this...

And even if plod tries to save face and go ahead, then it will be easily challenged in court...

Or is the prospect of a fair trial to much for you to handle?
Would it be a case that you would approve of being one that a person could no longer demand to be tried by a jury?

I disagree, it would not be easy to challenge a conviction in court, now if it was up to me I would just fling her in the clink anyway.

Prisoners that have been found guilty, or ones on remand? Either way it's a matter for the Israeli criminal justice system and not some autistic, professional alarmist, and doom-sayer - who has no more credibility [on any subject] than one of them sandwich-board prophets one used to see around, who told us to “Repent, for the end of the world is nigh!” At least they had a good line in rhetoric.
