City of London Police said a 22-year-old woman was arrested, and later bailed, for displaying a placard in support of a proscribed organisation, in this case Palestine Action, contrary to Section 13 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

I actually don't think S13 is good law. There will be plenty of people perhaps like you and carman who are confused as to why this is a terrorism offence. But as with driving without due care or breaking the speed limit, it's a law that exists and Greta will have known about it. Perhaps she feels she is entitled to do as she pleases?

...and then released her without charge. Why is that if you think she committed an offence?

And where are these facts you speak of?
 
Her placard was clearly written in a very specific way. Almost certainly after taking legal advice. It was a stunt and it will all come down to whether expressing support for the prisoners on hunger strike is the same as expressing support for the organisation itself. It took about two months after arrest and release (on bail) for most of those wearing/carrying the standard "I support" message to be charged. The charging decision in this case might take longer as it is not as straight forward. See Bob Vylan outcome, where others on here also claimed a prosecution was a slam dunk.

I cannot imagine anyone qualified would give such advice. Of course people can commit crimes for which they are not prosecuted for, based on the threshold requirements for prosecution.

Why do you love the little girl so much. If she had her way you would never be allowed to travel abroad to pointlessly slide down a big hill with 2 planks tied to your feet.
