So I've had a bit of a disaster using a self drill plasterboard plug to secure a wall bracket for a guitar to a plasterboard wall. Did the first 2 brackets fine but on the third bracket, the self drill plug just kept turning and wouldnt go tight. Now there's a big hole in the wall. I thought I could just use a toggle bolt but then I found out there is about 10mm between the back of the plasterboard and the brick so I cant get that in either. I'm a bit stumped what to do because the bracket is fairly small and cant really move it to another spot. Each bracket only has 2 screws and of course, it's the top one that an issue.
Question is, would grab adhesive likely work? I've put up shelves with it before and it worked fantastic but I'm concerned that the adhesive would be hitting wallpaper. So wouldn't it just pull the paper off? Really stuck what to do here.
