Trying to work out whether it's worth getting a grab out for a load of earth, I know they won't take anything other than soil+hardcore, but how strict do they tend to be if there's stuff growing that's getting hoiked out - largely horrible bindweed, bit of nettles etc? Does all this need stripping off completely before getting the digger and grab out? Any hints welcome!

Bulky bushes, shrubs, branches - no
Grass, plants and anything similar will get lost in the soil so crack on.
