Hi, now you would have thought this would be an easy answer to find on the Grant website, or one if the numerous places you can buy their boilers, but....
I can't establish if what I want to do is possible so thought I'd ask here....
I want to replace an existing dinosaur of an internal oil boiler with a grant vortex blue, but locate it approx 500mm further along the wall.... Ideally I'd use the same core hole as existing for the flue (it's a good half a metre thick stone wall).... So, I need the flue to run horizontally internally before elbow to outside...
Possible?
Thanks in advance!

Not something I've done myself but there is a 90° bend available on the low level yellow flue system which may work.
Your certainly going to need a least one extension to deal with wall thickness.

Thanks. Im going to try phoning Grant tomorrow....

Probably do better to phone your local Grant rep .
Grant technical are excellent ( in stark contrast to some other oil manufacturers)
But especially on a Monday expect a long wait!

If you really want the blue flame boiler I would suggest you crack on .
Just had a call informing me Grant are going to withdraw the blueflame range,.
Instead they are from Feb increasing warranty on pro range to 10 years.

Spoke to a very helpful guy at Grant support today... Totally possible to put two elbows on a flue, though one has to be a 'sweeping bend made of two 45 degree angled bits....
Given the glue bits can't be cut, and only come in set sizes (though there is one telescopic extension bit), it looks like I need to work backwards from my existing core hole....
