Hi,

I bought a bag of J. Arthur Bower Autumn lawn food and moss killer. Weighed it out on the kitchen scales, and applied by hand via a shaker pot at 35g\m2, as directed by the instructions on the bag.

Watered in after two days via hose pipe (also as instructed).

Nearly all of the lawn is now turning white (?).

I called Bower customer services, and they've asked for the photo that you see here, but initial opinion was that I over applied.

I don't see how this can be the case, given I weighed it out before applying.

Has anyone else had problems with the grass turning white after feed application?

I tried a different weed and feed last year (scotts I think), applied via a drop spreader. Again, set the feed rate on the spreader so 35g\m2 was applied, and the same thing happened. Grass turned much lighter and stopped growing.

I must be doing something wrong, but can't work out what.

Thanks.

You've put too much on the grass, just leave it and it will grow back.

I know as I done that on my mums.
