Hi,
I recently moved into a property with a Greenstar 24i Junior MK IV Combi Boiler and I have a few queries about this, if anyone can help that would be great! the boiler form the previous owner shows its about 8 years old.
I noticed the boiler turns on and off in a short space of time (about every 10 minutes or so) even though the temperature of the room is greater that what I programmed into the wireless thermostat. Is this normal?
I set the program timer on the old fashioned wireless thermostat to be the lowest i could set it to test if the boiler keeps firing on and off. So I set this to 5 degrees (I can't set this lower than 5 degrees). I found that the boiler keeps firing up and the radiators are slightly warm.
Also I set the boiler thermostat (on the boiler itself) to be the lowest (cool setting). The boiler seems to ignore this too. As the boiler came on a few times during the day and the radiators were warm.
Apologies for the vague information, I have no idea why this boiler keeps the radiators on even though both the wireless thermostat and the boilers radiator thermostat is set to the lowest it can be. I could understand if the room temperature was really low.
Nick
