we have a problem with the boiler getting up to heat on CH. it's fine on water but as soon as we put CH on the thermostat starts going crazy. All the rads reach a lukewarm temp but no more. Have bled them all but no difference.
We have been advised that this is a circulation problem. Our Gascare friend said he can't find anything wrong with the boiler which is only about 7 years old.
Any ideas please.

Define thermostat going crazy, this is not a term I`m familiar with.

Thermostat on boiler fluctuating between 24 ish to 55 and other numbers in between. It's fine when only water.

The boilers 7 years old! how old is the system? If its a circulation problem a Powerflush may breath new life into the system.

No just ordinary rads but big house so 14 rads of varying size. All get warm but then the heating cuts out and boiler stat fluctuates with 2 symbols like opposite corners show.

It could be a blockage.

A good few years back i installed a full system. because it was all new i never felt the need to fit a magnet filter. sure enough part of the system blocked. I thing swalf debri from the manufacturing of the rads.

I now fit a filter what ever.

How can I unblock system without powerclean? Could it be an airlock somewhere?

So frustrating. Why would CH work at all if there is a blockage?
HW is fine. Anyone else had this problem?
