I have finished tiling my kitchen and have used BAL Adhesive followed by BAL ivory grout.

Problem, whenever we boil the kettle or the grout gets damp behind the sink the grout goes dark and drys out over time?

Have I missed a trick and do I need to seal the grout with something?

All that is happening is moisture is being absorbed into the surface of the grout. You should not have any problems with BAL &, contrary to popular belief, even waterproof grout isn’t impervious to water or steam & it will go darker when it’s wet. It won’t be a problem unless you continually saturate the surface with steam, have you thought about an automatic kettle or even moving it away from the tiled wall!

The kettle is automatic and I'll make sure the missus moves it so it is pointing away from the wall.
