Grumbling Noise on Spin - Bosch WVT 1260

The Bosch Washer / Dryer has developed a grumbling noise on the spin cycle. The noise can also be heard when the drum is turned quickly by hand, althogh I can't feel any play in the drum. I'm thinking drum bearings starting to go. What do you folks think? Many thanks for you answers.

Bosch (& others) sell the spider c/w with bearings & seal http://www.espares.co.uk/part/washi...856/0/0/551591/washing-machine-bearing-s.html
Providing you can get hold of the bearings/seal (and remove the old ones without damaging the bearing housing) the cheapest way to go is re-use the spider & change them yourself. Quote the full machine E.number when hunting spares, there are a dozen versions of this model
