Just been replacing the plastic guttering on my 1970s house.

I was initially going to use the existing brackets and just replace the gutter.
But I found that the brackets had become brittle and snapped when I tried to clip the guttering into place.

I now have to remove and replace 12 rusted-in brackets. It might take a while!
Any tips for removing rusted-in bracket screws?

Thanks
Mike

Break the remains of the bracket away from the screw, leaving it sticking out .Then unscrew by gripping with long handled water pump pliers...the plumber`s universal tool. :)

Hacksaw blade slid behind bracket and cut screw flush, mount the new brackets in different position.

Or hammer the screw in flush and refix new bracket nearby.
