Halford’s wiper blade query…

Hi

Hoping someone can save me an embarrassing return trip to Halfords.

Bought single rear wiper for wife’s 2015 Polo. Used her reg to order part W301. Told er indoors wouldn’t need to pay for fitting, easy blah blah.

Removed old blade easily. However, replacement has three parts as shown in images. (Original just had top section clipping onto blade) No instructions, specific online guide, just random A and B and T markings (top?) The small part only fits one way, but for life of me can’t fit large section to that. Equally clueless about the third piece of plastic.

I can take it back tomorrow, with my tail between my legs but hoping someone had successfully fitted these before.

Yeah, they all come with a selection of adaptors for various cars that use the same length of blade.

I bought a blade from Halfords. I took it out to the car and found it came with umpteen parts!!

In the end i went back into the store and after saying no way i would pay £7 just to slot it onto the arm the guy pointed out the correct attachment for me and it all fitted great!

Over to Valeo which seem better
How do I remove the scratches?
Tried toothpaste and also tcut.
Need a professional?
Is it a MOT fail?
Car is going back next April so don't want to replace the windscreen!

I can’t see that happening if they are fitted correctly. Did you fit them or did Halfords fit them? Have you been back to Halfords to complain? I would.

Guessing you'll need something a bit more than toothpaste or T Cut for polishing glass. Think these are mainly used on headlights with plastic lenses to remove the haze. Plenty of kits around, and poss take a look on Youtube to see what others are doing. If you don't want to DIY it the windscreen repair people should be able to poilsh it out. At a price.
