I moved into my house about 2 years ago and have never had any problems with the boiler, however, this morning when i got up, i had no hot water or central heating. I had a look at the front of the boiler and it seems that there is no power as the display is completely blank. All the other electrics in the house are working fine and nothing has tripped in the fuse box. Is there anything else i can do before forking out for a tradesman?

thanks in advance

dan

No, a light switch sized switch/fuseplate which supplies a 3amp supply to the boiler, normally adjacent to the appliance.

Found it. The fuse didn't look like it had blown but I changed it anyway. When I did this it tripped the electrics. Iturned them back on and checked the fuse again and it looks like this fuse may have blown too. Any ideas?

It may be time to call someone.

Mention its an electrical problem in case they dont know how to diagnose fsultd.

It's now turned on after a third fuse. I now have error code 7 which according to the manual is....

Fault/effect: defective/no flame
Reason: missing or erroneous RPM signal
Action: check fan, check mains fan lead and connector, check low voltage fan lead and connector, check PCB/x3 connector

Does it need a new fan or is it something simple to fix?

Simple logic deduces that if the fan is running than a new fan is not needed !

Just love these error code's, could be this could be that could be the other, kin waste of time.

Think you'll need an RGI, preferably one that understands garbage.
