Been getting a recurring issue with my boiler now whereby the green power light will flash and the boiler cuts out. Initially it was often when you put the turned on a HW tap whilst the heating was on. The HW would come but then when it switched back to the CH the boiler would cut out immediately and the power light would flash.
It has been serviced after it started playing up so the Expansion vessel should be OK. On the advice of the boiler service engineer I replaced the Diaphragm in the flow switch in case it was damaged and not pushing the pin out, but actually it didn't seem to be damaged and made no difference to the boiler.
Today I have cleaned out the Heat Exchanger with Spirit of Salts. One side was a bit mucky with black deposits, the other side crystal clear, but now I've put it all back together the HW is working (as always) but the CH is still cutting out early or if it's interrupted by the HW.
Where do I go now? Thanks.
Sorry, probably should have said I've bled the rads from bottom to top of the house and filled boiler back to correct pressure.
