Hello ,

I have the above boiler and have no hot water at the sink but the central heating works.

From what I have read is it the diaphragm that operates the micro switch ? I suppose it could also be the micro switch but most of what I have read appears to suggest the diaphragm.

Is there a way to test using a multimeter on the pcb to prove its the diaphragm?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Isolate power to the boiler. Fold down the control panel and see if the pin is coming out of the dv when the hot tap is opened. It is on the left of the dv with pink wires.
Wait until you see the price of spares. Beyond outrageous.

I would use any excuse I could to get rid of the thing.

As above, prices of spares on Halstead boilers are quite horrific - Halstead no longer exist as a manufacturer so the agent who deals with the remaining spares charge a fortune for them. Diaphragm should be fairly simple to sort, but you should be saving for a new boiler just in case anything more major goes wrong

Hooting owl hello , so if the pin does not move does that mean its the diaphragm ?
Thanks again
