Can anyone out there advice me? The heating tries to come on through timer after 4 attempts locks out. Have switched to constant and reset boiler after a number of lock outs heating works, when switched to timer heating stays on. When heating tries to start again through time 4-5 attempts and will not run (lockout). Have been told by Corgi friend to have thermistors changed. Will that cure it? :? Cheers Dawn.

If its a lockout ahen the boiler tries to light then thats nothing to do with the sensors.

Could be many things. Would advise getting a competent corgi engineer. Probably involes gas checks!

Do this:
Turn heating OFF, switch off boiler power.
Switch boiler power back on, then it'll go through a self-check routine which takes about 15 seconds. It'll probably lock out at that point, due to a common air problem you'll need a corgi to fix.
If it gets past that ok, turn the CH on. When it fails, is the red light on solid or flashing?
