Hi i have a problem with my boiler, it has been playing up for a while the lockout button used to cut out the boiler for no reason then that stopped then the boiler used to cut out all together until i tapped the ignition control box then it would fire up again but now it has stopped working completely is this the ignition control box or something else thanks.

Its impossible to be sure but without being there and doing tests on the boiler it sounds the most likely problem.
But before replacing that the o/h stat should be tested for continuity. Resetting them more than about 20 times can cause them to fail.
If the o/h stat cuts out its probably cause by overheating ! Make sure pump is on setting 2 ( or 3 ) and the temperature differential across the boiler is no more than about 12 ° C.
