handrail height

hi everyone!

wanna fix a handrail for the stairs to the wall, is there a minimum/maximum height it must be?

also, the brackets (brass) from screwfix only take gauge 6 screws... and the largest brass screws of this gauge i found are only 1.5" long... is this gonna be long enough for a good fixing to the wall?

There is a height cant remember where I saw it, but its a min / max, so basically if it feels right for you it will be between the heights. You will probably get the dimensions on here later.
