Hi,

I've got a radiator I need to hang. It's a double rad, 620x1400 so it's quite heavy and the problem is that one of the radiator brackets will have to be mounted on a wall which is plasterboard on thermalite (the other part of the wall is brick). Can anyone suggest what I should use to secure the bracket as I'm guessing a nylon rawlplug may not do the job.

Thanks for looking :)

Use more than two screws? (drill another couple of holes in the bracket)

Also, slightly under size the hole, being careful not to snap the screw when tightening.

You could also cut out the plasterboard where the bracket is located and fill the hole with bonding so you do not distort the plasterboard...
