Hanging column radiator

If fitting a column radiator around 1000mm do you tend to put the hooks between the last two columns or further in?

Thanks, I manage getting the centre to centre measurement for the clips horizontally. But struggle making up the vertical distance between the clips. Any tip?

I tend to fit the top brackets ,hang the rad ,then present the bottom brackets in situ.
Mark their positions,take rad off ,and then fix the bottom brackets.
