The years are rolling too fast.
2026. Good grief. I remember 2000 and waking to the local hill. Was supposed to light a beacon at the top but rain ment people couldn't go up because of the mud.
They lit a small fire at the bottom around 9pm and there were 100s of people. Local radio station was playing music out the back of van.
Then we all went home at 9.30 to tune in on TV to watch the cores play at the London dome.
That was the year fireworks because a thing at new year. Prior to that it's wasn't really a thing to do. 45 mins of bangs last night. Starting to get a bit much!
Anyone noticed the amount of houses lit up this year. More than ever....
2026 is going to be an interesting year.
Could be good. Could be bad.

The first bangs, began at 6pm, the last about 1am here, though a little better than previous years, when we had loud ones until 3am, and not much break from the bangs, from bonfire night, to the New Year.
