Provided you buy a full OEM version of windows XP, you will be good to go.
Ignore the piece of hardware you are supposed to buy.

Funny thing that some places say theres a way round it...some want to to buy a stick of memory...some want to to buy a mothers board!

As you know, OEM versions of windows are supposed to be sold only with a full computer system, some use a way around this by offering a piece of hardware with your purchase.

Shop around, someone will sell it to you. Vendors on E-bay say they will send a small piece of hardware with it, but few even send it.........
